Enjoy the Monarch Butterflies Around Lubbock While You Still Can
The first time I noticed a Monarch butterfly was a couple of weeks ago in my back yard. I watched it for a few minutes before it fluttered away.
Since then, I have seen quite a few here and there. Have you noticed them, too?
If so, enjoy them while you can, they will only be around for a few more days as they continue their migration back to Mexico.
According to Monarch-Butterfly.com, Monarch butterflies are the only insect that can make the 2,500-mile migration to a warmer climate every winter. What’s even more amazing is that these butterflies use the same trees to hibernate in every single year. Nature is so amazing.
I have an idea. Let’s put our phones down for a bit and take the time to notice these beautiful butterflies before they’re gone in a few days.
