Lubbock Robbery Suspect Captured in New Mexico
Lubbock Police on Friday afternoon announced the arrest of a robbery suspect. The Lubbock and Albuquerque, New Mexico offices of the US Marshals assisted LPD in the investigation and arrest of 36 year-old Donovan Osby.
Osby is accused of burglarizing a home in the 4700 block of 29th Street on March 7, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. When police arrived at the scene of the burglary they found a couple in the home and the man had suffered injuries to his head.
According to LPD, the burglary victims said Osby posed as a representative for a gas company and he said he was trying to locate a gas leak. After Osby entered the home he allegedly got into a physical altercation with one of the victims.
Osby will be charged with Burglary of a Habitation and extradited back to Lubbock sometime next week.
