This storm system is expected to bring the possibility of heavy snow with accumulation amounts ranging from 3 to 5 inches. Some areas will start with rainfall Tuesday afternoon before a strong surge of cold air transitions precipitation into snow.

Icy roadways will be likely, especially on overpasses and bridges. Should the snowfall amounts that are forecast accumulate to more than 2 inches, roadways will look similar to that of the event known as Lubbock's Snowmaggedon in the winter of 2015.
