Lubbock police are investigating a man’s claims he was assaulted last week. According to KAMC News, the victim said the assault occurred in the parking lot of his apartment complex in the 6000 block of Avenue P.

He says two men approached him as he was leaving and called him a snitch. The victim says he knew both men as just acquaintances and that they both were armed and hit him in the face, arm, and torso.

The assailants also allegedly stole the keys to the victim's apartment and said they could rob it whenever they wanted. Police say the victim did have a swollen face from the alleged assault but was cleared by EMS.

The victim, who has not been identified, described the suspects to police who say one of them appears to match the description of someone who lives in the area of where the assault occurred. However, investigators have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests.
