Lubbock Police Say Missing Elderly Couple Has Been Found Safe
Update: According to Lubbock Police Department Public Information Officer Tiffany Pelt, Mr. and Mrs. Davis have been found safe and are at home.
Original story: Lubbock Police are currently assisting in the search of a missing elderly couple.
Foye and June Davis of Greenville, Texas, were last seen in Lubbock Thursday morning (July 26th) at 7:30 a.m. checking out of a hotel room in the 3200 block of the South Loop. The couple were reportedly in town visiting a family member in the hospital. They arrived on July 23rd.
The couple was last seen in a red GMC Terrain with the license plate number: DX3M-651. This isn't the first time the two have gotten lost. On Monday, they were found roaming the campus of Texas Tech University.
The stranger who found them helped the couple check into the Pioneer Hotel in Downtown Lubbock. Police have learned that since Monday, the couple has been to Covenant Hospital to visit a family member, and were last known to have checked into a different hotel -- Hotel Ava, located in the 3200 block of the South Loop.
The family and police are concerned because the couple left many of their belongings at the Pioneer Hotel, the first hotel they checked into on Monday, including medication. Lubbock police have been working with Greenville Police and Texas DPS Troopers since the couple was reported missing.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Lubbock Police Department at 806-775-2865.
