Lubbock Police Ask for Public’s Help in Hit-and-Run After Man Struck By Two Vehicles
The Lubbock Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving a hit-and-run that left one person dead.
Sunday (Sept. `7) at 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a call about a possible hit-and-run in the 2900 block of Avenue A.
Forty-three-year-old Lashone Markeei Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Officers determined Wilson was struck by one vehicle while walking on the street. Then, at an unknown point after the initial hit-and-run, police believe Wilson was struck by another vehicle while on the ground.
Based on information gathered at the scene, police say the first vehicle will have a significantly cracked or broken windshield. No suspects have been located at this time.
