Lubbock MMA Fighter Gears Up For Million Dollar Grand Prix
The Stallion Derek Campos was born and raised in Lubbock before he became one of the premier featherweights in the MMA landscape. Campos carries a career 20-9 record into his next fight coming off a unanimous decision over former featherweight champion Daniel Straus in the first round of the Featherweight Million Dollar Grand Prix.
Now, The Stallion is now heading to Hawaii to face A.J. McKee in the quarterfinals of the Grand Prix. McKee is 15-0 as a professional, is 7 years younger than Campos, and is coming off of an 8-second knockout, but Campos doesn't mind being the underdog. Campos credits his West Texas toughness is something that gives him confidence.
The Stallion joined the Rob Breaux Show with Karson Robinson to talk about his upcoming fight:
You can go to Hawaii to watch the fights on the 21st of December, or you can stream it live on DAZN.
