57-year-old Jimmy Don Wolfenbarger turned himself into the Lubbock County Detention Center the morning of Wednesday, May 12th and posted a $2 million bond to be released the same day.

KAMC News reports that Wolfenbarger, who formerly lived in the Buchanan Dam community in Llano County but now lives in Lubbock, had been indicted for the murder of Holly Simmons that happened in Llano County back in 2006.

Back on July 7th, 2009, the Llano County Sheriff's Office, Texas Rangers and LCRA Law Enforcement were called to reports of human remains found in Inks Lake

The remains were recovered and transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner's office. At that time, the identity of the remains wasn't known. It wasn't until 2 months later on September 1st, 2009 that the remains were identified as those of Holly Marie Simmons, who would have been 48-years-old at the time her remains were discovered.

Simmons was actually reported missing under suspicious circumstances many years before her remains were found, however. She was reported as missing on November 29th of 2006 after she was seen dropping her daughter off at a bus stop near their Buchanan Damn home.

It wasn't until Monday, May 3rd that Wolfenbarger was indicted for Simmons' murder. What exactly the motive was for Simmons' death wasn't made immediately clear in news reports.
