A Lubbock man has pleaded guilty to distribution of child pornography after he admitted to possessing and trading these videos to law enforcement.

Back in 2017, law enforcement in both Olton and Lubbock received information that the suspect, Eliazar Moreno-Macias had been in possession of child pornography. KAMC News reports that he was located by law enforcement in August of 2021.

Police had accessed an online storage account and found around 500 videos of prepubescent minors engaging in sexual acts. Moreno-Macias admitted to officers that he had used an app on his phone to store these videos, and said that he had around 600 or more images of child pornography.

Court records said that Moreno-Macias knowingly distributed and received numerous videos of child pornography, including videos of toddlers. He would apparently send messages to those he traded these videos with on Kik, saying things like he was "a kiddy porn trader."

If Moreno-Macias' plea deal is accepted, he faces a minimum of 5 years in prison and a maximum of 20 years.
