A Lubbock man, Eduardo Nieblas, has admitted to using the messaging app Kik to send others child pornography.

Under the name "edwardsnowden163," Nieblas admitted to investigators that he sent a video depicting a teenage girl in a bathroom undressing, dancing in the nude and "other things" through a Kik group chat. What specifically those "other things" were weren't detailed by KAMC News.

Nieblas actually didn't admit to having a Kik account when he was first interrogated, but he eventually admitted it just a few days later. He initially just told investigators he came across close to 30 images of child pornography on 4chan.

Investigators were initially tipped off to this after Kik, based in Ontario, Canada, pinpointed the location of the uploaded video, which was determined to be in the Lubbock area. This was noted around November of 2020.

Nieblas' home, located in the 1800 block of 17th Street, was searched on November 18th, 2020 by the Lubbock Police Department. A total of 27 devices were seized during the search, but it wasn't said what was contained on these devices.

Nieblas will be sentenced to 5 to 20 years in prison at a later date. On top of this, he will be issued a fine that won't exceed $250,000, and will serve a term of supervised release of a minimum of 5 years after his release.
