On Thursday, March 12th, Lubbock ISD announced they were restricting all school-sanctioned travel for students and staff to a 200-mile radius from Lubbock.
All out-of-state travel will also be prohibited through June 30th, 2020.
Lubbock ISD advises families that are planing to travel over the spring break holiday to adhere to CDC guidelines regarding domestic and international travel.
The district is also issuing Chromebooks to be taken home over the spring break holiday for all students grades 2-12.
During spring break, maintenance staff will be conducting a deep clean of all campuses, which includes disinfecting classrooms and all surfaces.
