In a meeting Thursday morning, the Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees named Misty Rieber as the new assistant superintendent for school curriculum.

Rieber has been the leadership and professional development coordinator for Lubbock ISD since 2014 and was the K-12 social studies coordinator from 2003-2014.

She has a bachelor’s degree in history and education from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Lubbock Christian University.

Rieber is also working to complete her superintendent’s certification.
