Lubbock Christian University Grab a 74-65 Win Over John Brown University

Emily Atkins led all scorers for the second straight game with 25 points and Nicole Hampton contributed a double double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The win pushed the Lady Chaps to 11-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference play, and their overall win streak to 12 straight games.

LCU closed the half on a 31-10 run, to take a 39-22 halftime lead. Despite the lead, the Lady Chaps couldn't roll through the rest of the game. JBU got within 55-47 with around nine minutes remaining, but LCU went on a 6-0 run to finally put the game out of reach.

LCU is 14-3 overall, and is currently ranked No.9. LCU is one win away from matching a 13 win record set back in 1996 by then head coach Miles Waters. LCU returns to action Thursday at 5:45 p.m. hosting University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma inside Rip Griffin Center.
