Longtime Texas Tech Starter Accepts Senior Bowl Invite
When Jack Anderson stepped on the Texas Tech campus he was one of the best-rated recruits to ever sign with the Red Raiders and was already one of the best offensive linemen in the Big 12. He proved that as a freshman starting in all 13 games in 2017 and being named a Freshman All-American by both ESPN and USA Today.
In his second season as a Red Raider guard had a solid sophomore campaign. He was named to the All-Big 12 second team by the conference coaches and the Associated Press and was recognized on the All-Texas offensive team by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and the All-Big 12 first team by Pro Football Focus.
As a Junior, Anderson would suffer a shoulder injury but would return in 2020 for one last run. The conference has named him a First team performer and he's entered his name into the NFL draft. Reinforcing that Anderson has a legitimate NFL pedigree this week is an official invite from the Reese's Senior Bowl which features NFL coaching staffs and scouts galore.
Anderson is an eligible Junior because he's been at Texas Tech for four seasons and he's earned his undergraduate degree.
Jordyn Brooks, Terence Steele and Broderick Washington participated in the Senior Bowl last season and all three made NFL rosters and have played extended snaps this season. The Senior Bowl interview process started Brooks' rapid ascension up the draft boards last year. Le'Raven Clark was another offensive lineman from the Red Raiders to go to the Senior Bowl and perform his way into an NFL draft pick.
