Learn About Texas’ New Constitutional Carry Law At SS Outfitters
On September 1st in Texas, Constitutional Carry will become legal in Texas. Also known as "Permitless Carry", the new gun law is one of many new state laws that go into effect on September 1st.
So what is Constitutional Carry? It means Texans over the age of 21 will be able to carry a handgun without needing to have a License to Carry. There are no classes or required training that you have to go through if you want to carry a firearm. As long as you are legally able to carry and own a firearm, you will not have to have a license and you can open or conceal carry.
But does that mean you can carry everywhere? Even places that don't allow concealed firearms? Will there be signs up telling people where Constitutional Carry is not allowed? Do you even need a License to Carry anymore?
Those questions and more will be addressed Thursday evening at SS Outfitters as they host a Texas Constitutional Carry Must-Know Gun Law class taught by Texas Law Shield West Texas. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and last until 8 p.m. SS Outfitters is located off of Highway 114 in Levelland.
This will be a great opportunity for people to learn more about the gun laws in Texas with the emphasis being on constitutional carry and the rules you will need to follow. You can get more information on the Texas Law Shield site and on the event's Facebook page. You can also call SS Outfitters at 806-897-185 with questions
