Kirby Hocutt is one of the best Athletics Directors in the NCAA. Don't take my word for it, or the many successes of the numerous athletic teams in the past few years, you don't even have to look at the money that the Athletic Department is piling up for Texas Tech University.

Just look at all the committees that want him.

Hocutt has already served on the CFP committee and now is adding the NCAA Baseball Committee to his resume. The 10 member NCAA Baseball Committee is responsible for forming the 64-team NCAA tournament field for college baseball.

"I am excited and honored to join the NCAA Baseball Committee," Hocutt said. "I look forward to working with such a renowned group of individuals in serving college baseball as it continues to flourish like never before."

Hocutt is the second Athletic Director in the country to serve on both the CFP committee and the NCAA Baseball committee after Georgia Tech's Todd Stansbury. Stansbury served on the baseball committee when he was with Oregon State.
