AL MVP Josh Hamilton has been released from the hospital. Rangers’ fan favorite Hamilton was discharged on Sunday after being admitted Tuesday with an early case of Pneumonia. Read about Hamilton and an appearance in Lubbock, after the jump.

Hamilton was originally only expected to be in the hospital a day or two, but was held the entire week to ensure a full recovery. The Rangers have said Hamilton should be able to resume activity with the club in a few days.

The Rangers’ slugger batted a major league best .359 for the AL Champions last season. He finished the season with 32 home runs and 100 RBI’s.

The illness should not slow down the hot hitting Hamilton from making his media appearances. Read up on the AL MVP making an appearance at LCU in February.
