183 days have passed since Texas Tech and Texas got pulled off of the court at the Big 12 Basketball tournament. It's been 364 days since Alan Bowman has taken a snap for the Red Raiders. Both of those streaks end today as the Red Raiders square off against the Houston Baptist Huskies.

The game shouldn't be close if we're being honest. Texas Tech should manhandle the Huskies and do whatever they want offensively. The Huskies gave up 57 points and 720 yards of offense to North Texas last week including 306 yards on the ground. The Red Raiders should be able to recreate those totals and shouldn't struggle to get to the 60 point threshold against this FCS opponent.

Even if Texas Tech has some starters out tonight due to COVID-19 the Red Raiders should have the depth and talent to score on the Houston Baptist Huskies tonight.

Defensively, I don't expect domination. That has nothing to do with the Texas Tech defense, I just really respect the Huskies offensive prowess. The team put up 31 points last week against North Texas and threw for 480 yards. The offensive coordinator Zach Kittley is a Kliff Kingsbury disciple and Air Raid savant. Houston Baptist will spread Texas Tech's defense out and create a mismatch or two and score some points.

Overall, I think the Red Raiders prevail against the weaker opponent and win by a healthy margin 55-21 and they'll do it in all-black.

The kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm on ESPN+.
