If you had told me before the 2019 season Texas Tech football was going to put 5 players on the All Big 12 first and second teams and add nine more to the honorable mention team I would have guaranteed a bowl appearance if not a seven win season.

That did not come to fruition, but don't let the team's demise get in the way of the individual success of this team.

Jordyn Brooks had a phenomenal year and would have been the player of the year if Baylor and Texas Tech traded records. Douglas Coleman sucked in eight interceptions. Austin McNamara now holds Texas Tech's record for longest punt average in a season by more than a yard.

The second team saw Eli Howard and Travis Bruffy join the list as solid contributors.

The honorable mention list was deep with talent as well including RJ Turner, Damarcus Fields, Dawson Deaton, Donta Thompson, Broderick Washington, Terrance Steele, SaRodorick Thompson and Trey Wolff.

It didn't translate to wins, but several of these players return in 2020 to try and build the individual success into team success.
