Hit-and-Run in North Lubbock Sends One to the Hospital
Wednesday afternoon (May 17) just after 1 p.m., a man was hit by a car outside of a vehicle near a northwest car wash in Lubbock.
Outside of Racer Car Wash near 4th street and Frankford Avenue, a man was hit by a car which then left the scene. Since this afternoon, the victim has been identified as 57-year-old Donald Carpenter. He was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the car was 20-year-old Dakota James Griffin. The police located the suspect vehicle at 210 N. Winston. The driver was located near the vehicle and arrested.
Griffin was charged with failure to stop and render aid.
