A fight between two kids in Lubbock turned deadly when an SUV barreled into a crowd of onlookers, killing one person.

According to Lubbock police, a fight erupted on Vicksburg Ave. Saturday afternoon between two juveniles. A crowd of people gathered around to watch. During this, 39-year-old Raul Elizondo allegedly struck one of the people watching the fight with his SUV and kept driving.

The victim was later identified as 29-year-old Christopher Garcia. He was taken to UMC, where he later died, confirmed LPD Public Information Officer Tiffany Pelt.

Police later located Elizondo's vehicle at a Family Dollar store on 34th Street. However, the suspect was not found and arrested until the following morning.

Elizondo was charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center. Other charges may be pending.
