HEB Plans a Huge Donation to South Plains Food Bank, 17 Other Food Banks
As we anticipate the opening of HEB in Lubbock, big news has just been announced.
The superstore giant is getting set to make a huge donation of cereal to food banks across Texas, including South Plains Food Bank in Lubbock, in honor of National Hunger Action Month, according to Everything Lubbock.
HEB has also raised $672,000 through their Help End Hunger campaign to help deliver as many as 3 million meals across Texas, according to a press release.
Here is the heartfelt statement from there press release.
“At H-E-B, we are deeply committed to supporting our communities and helping families with the resources they need to avoid hunger,” said Winell Herron, HEB Group Vice President of Public Affairs, Diversity and Environmental Affairs. “With these gifts, we are proud to support these dedicated organizations that work to combat hunger across Texas throughout the year.”
It's really tremendous to see such a huge donation from HEB.
