Gallery: A Tour of the Pumpkin Trail at the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum
If you're looking for something fun to do with the kiddos, don't forget to take them out to this year's Pumpkin Trail at the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum. It's a much less scary alternative to the haunted houses that may be too much for little ones.
Another great thing about the trail is that you can visit during the daytime. Sometimes the spooky parts of Halloween can be a bit overwhelming for kids. The nice part about this pumpkin trail is that it's open during the daytime as well as the night. A little bit of sunshine goes a long way if Halloween gives you or your children the creeps. Daytime hours are 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., and evening hours from 6 until 9 p.m.
The 13th Annual Pumpkin Trail is only open until October 24th, so you'll want to head out there this weekend to check it out. Admission is free, and there's apple cider and hot cocoa for sale.
JJ Howell, a friend of the station, snapped these pictures for FMX and told us, "It's tradition. We go out there every year and it's always a good time that the whole family enjoys."
94.5 FMX wishes you have a safe a fun Halloween in the Hub City. If you go out this weekend, leave a photo in the comment section on our FMX Facebook page. We'd love to see how much fun you had.
