Former Odessa Church Pastor Arrested for Sexual Assault

The former head pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Odessa has been arrested for sexual assault.
The Odessa Police Department says an 18 year-old woman came to them claiming she had been sexually abused and assaulted several times over the past two years. EverythingLubbock reports officers arrested Aaron Shipman and charged him with sexual assault, a second degree felony.
Church leaders state Shipman was fired from his position as pastor and is banned from church property. They also say they will cooperate will law enforcement.
After the arrest, Shipman bonded out of the Ector County Detention Center.
