The former Lubbock dentist who produced and distributed child pornography has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.

Jason Paul White was arrested in January 2021 after a lawsuit accused him of coercing a teenage boy into taking sexually explicit photos and videos. The next month, White was indicted for production of child pornography, receipt and distribution of child pornography, and enticement of a minor.

Later in August, the charges against White were updated for a total of 16 felony counts, including: production of child pornography, enticement and attempted enticement of a minor, and transportation of child pornography. The dozen-plus charges date back to March 2004 and involve several underaged victims.

The following month, White admitted that he illegally filmed seven victims over a 15-year period. Some of the victims were as young as 13. In one case, White coerced a 17-year-old boy into recording sexually explicit content, producing several videos over the course of a year.

White's confession was part of a guilty plea deal for only one charge of production of child pornography. The plea agreement called for a sentence of no less than 15 years, but not more than 30 years. White was also required to forfeit his interests in his home in Lubbock in the 4400 block of 10th Street, as well as a 966-acre ranch in Garza County. reported White will instead forfeit $100,000 instead of the home.

On January 6th, 2022, White was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison. He will also have a lifetime of supervised release and he must register as a sex offender.

White is still facing state charges of sexual performance by a child.
