The group seeking to build an NFL stadium in Los Angeles presented city officials with an environmental impact study Thursday morning. The Anschutz Entertainment Group presented the 10,000 page report on a downtown stadium in L.A. and told the city it spend tens of millions of dollars on freeway upgrades and public transportation improvements.

Tim Leiweke of AEG says the study is a landmark on the way to bringing the NFL back to Los Angeles, the country's most populace city. The report claims the stadium, Farmers Field, will have "unavoidable significant impacts," including nearly 20,000 cars downtown on weekends.

The proposed downtown stadium would be next to the Staples Center, which houses both NBA franchises the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers along with the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL. There has been some talk of the land around Chavez Ravine being developed for a new NFL Stadium, but that talk has been speculative so far.
