Lubbock Police Release Details About Crash on I-27 in Lubbock

The Lubbock Police Department has released more details relating to a crash that happened Saturday, January 25th, 2020 in the 7300 block of I-27.

Reports say that 22-year-old Jamie Valdez was traveling south on I-27 when he supposedly went off the interstate into a concrete drainage ditch and then back onto the interstate. He then collided with a pickup truck.

Valdez's vehicle rolled and came to rest in a grass median. He was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, but was said to still be in stable condition. The driver of the pickup was uninjured.
