Dallas Cowboys preseason television play-by-play announcer Bill Jones joined Sportsline Wednesday morning to talk about how the preseason has unfolded thus far, give an insight into training camp and more.

Steve Dale and Jones started off the conversation by talking about the defense, particularly the revamped secondary with free agent acquisitions Brandon Carr and first-round draft pick Morris Claiborne.

“I think what were gonna to see, and what the Cowboys hope, is that defensively that having an off-season to learn Rob Ryan’s defense is going to help them immensely” Jones said.

Jones discus’s the defensive-line and who’s impressing coaches and who isn’t. He also talks about which former high draft choices are on the bubble of even making the 53-man roster.

It’s great insight on position battles on both sides of the ball and what to expect from the Cowboys this season. Give it a listen!
