Bryce Bonnin was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds 84th overall in the 3rd round of the MLB Draft.

Bonnin transferred to Texas Tech before the 2019 season and pitched well for Texas Tech as a sophomore cracking the rotation and being one of the best arms on the team by the end of the season. He finished 7-1 in 13 starts. In his career, Bonnin threw 78.2 innings and struck out 92 batters. Bonnin had strong command this season with 27 strikeouts to just 6 walks in his first four starts.

The Reds drafted Cam Warren last year in the 22nd round of last year's MLB draft. Bonnin is the first Red Raider to be drafted in the 3rd round since the Giants drafted Roger Kieschnick in 2008.
