Chicago T-Shirt Company Trolls Texas Over Whataburger Sale

Texans are still reeling over the news that Whataburger was sold to a Chicago-based investment firm.

Some fans of the fast food chain even started a petition to buy the company back and campaigned to raise money for the cause. Others have decided to poke fun of the sale in true internet fashion by making memes to try to bring some humor to the sad situation.

It's alright if Texans poke fun at losing a piece of Lone Star treasure, but we draw a line in the sand when it comes to any outsiders laughing at our expense.

One Chicago t-shirt company has declared a troll war against the state where everything is bigger by creating a shirt design to rub it in our faces that Whataburger is now a Chicago-owned company.

An Instagram post by @raygunshirts shows a t-shirt with the words "Chicago's Most Famous Texas Hamburger Chain!" We aren't laughing. In parentheses, "as of June 2019." We're still not laughing!
