Brittney Griner has shattered NCAA records while playing for Baylor, and she now moves on to the WNBA.

While playing for Baylor, Griner became the first NCAA basketball player to score 2,000 points and block 500 shots. She also earned an Associated Press Player of the Year award, and was named as the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four.

The six-foot-eight-inch tall Griner was selected first overall by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2013 WNBA Draft.

The WNBA doesn’t get much respect when compared with their male counterparts in the NBA. Steve Dale with Sportsline poses the question: Can Brittney Griner save the WNBA? Let us know what you think in our Sportsline Poll of the Day.
