Two days after the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI, Patriots "fans" continue to take out their frustrations on Wes Welker.

Welker, the NFL's leading receiver this season, was unable to come up with a difficult catch in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. Tom Brady's pass was thrown a few feet behind Welker and the ball bounced incomplete off of his hands as he was twisting his body to the football.

Boston Online business, Pawngo, which is headquartered in Denver has outlets in New England, today took a cheap shot at Welker. Pawngo dumped 900 pounds of Butterfinger candy bars in the middle of Copley Square in Boston. As you can see by the photo, they made quite a mess and "thanked" Welker by name.

A standard size Butterfinger candy bar is 2.1 ounces. So, by doing the math, that's over 6,800 candy bars dumped in a public square to 'make a point' about Welker's play in the Super Bowl.

Of course, Pawngo, isn't the only one publicly placing blame on Welker's for the Patriots loss.  Tom Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen, voiced her profane displeasure against the Patriots receiving corp after the game.

If you haven't seen the video of the play with Welker, here it is:
