Lubbock Police Release Identity of Body Found in Alley

The Lubbock Police Department received a call around 1:05 p.m. Thursday, September 12th, that sanitation workers found a body in an alley in the 2400 block of 24th Street.

The body has been identified as 49-year-old Tracy Anne Powell, a local homeless woman. Next of kin has been notified, police said.

Police say that Powell's death does not seem suspicious at this time, but an investigation is still ongoing.
