Arizona Wildcats Use Big 6th Inning to Down Texas Tech 6-2 Tuesday Night
Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball fell to the defending national champions last night.
The No. 16 Arizona Wildcats used a four run sixth inning to outlast the Red Raiders 6-2 in Tucson. Johnny Drozd (1-1) took the loss for the Red Raiders pitching five innings and giving up five runs. Devon Conley led Tech at the plate going 2 for 4 with a RBI.
Arizona struck first in the game with an RBI single in the second inning to take an early 1-0, but Tech would respond in the fourth inning with a RBI single by Brett Bell to tie the game 1-1.
Tech falls to 7-6 on the season and just 1-5 away from Dan Law Field. Game 2 of the Midweek Series is today with first pitch at 2 p.m.
