A Lubbock man, 27-year-old Adrian Vincente Castillo, was sentenced on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 to 30 years in prison after he injured seven people in a shooting back in 2017.
Back on April 4th, 2017, Police were called to Villa Town at 5401 Avenue Q. It's reported that Castillo was yelling at the victims on the 2nd floor before he opened fire. Seven people were injured in this incident, but no one was killed.
KAMC News reports that a witness at the scene was able to identify Castillo as they recognized him from the news around two years prior. Apparently, Castillo had fired a weapon into a crowd before.
Back in 2015, Castillo was arrested after a shooting at the Copper Caboose at 5609 South Q Drive. It's said he retrieved a handgun into a vehicle and opened fire into a crowd that was in the parking lot. In that shooting, one person ended up being struck, and they only suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and was released from jail in August 2016.
On top of all of this, back in 2012, Castillo was charged with evading police in a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to two years in prison for the incident. He accepted a plea deal for community supervision, but it was revoked for multiple violations.
