The 2019 edition of the Texas South Plains Honor Flight wraps up on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. The three-day event started on Sunday, September 15.

It includes veterans from WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, going on an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. to visit various memorials and allow the veterans to pay their respects to their fellow soldiers.

On Monday, Congressman Jodey Arrington visited with the group of veterans, and their traveling companions, at the U.S. Capitol.

The group also participated in a wreath laying ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

The Texas South Plains Honor Flight returns to Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport on Tuesday night.
