15 Entertaining Live Events Coming to Lubbock’s New Buddy Holly Hall
After an entire year with very few live events, even a homebody like myself is ready to get out there and mingle with the masses. Well, at least 2,200 of my friends from Lubbock, Texas.
There are a lot of shows coming up that have my interest, along with several others that are just flat-out cool to see in Lubbock.
For one, I didn't even know that Kansas was still together and touring. They are! And they're bringing their show to Lubbock. There's also An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical, Jersey Boys, The Nutcracker and so much more.
Even with the calendar filling up over at the Buddy Holly Hall, it still seems like they're adding new shows every week, with both Tim Allen and Jon Crist just recently announcing Lubbock dates.
Obviously, there are a ton of great shows coming up, but here are 15 of the biggest, including Rodney Carrington and Dancing with the Stars Live.
15 Exciting Shows Coming to Lubbock's Buddy Holly Hall
Beyond those 15, there are endless possibilities out there for Buddy Holly Hall to book next. John Mulaney is back working and will probably be on tour soon, along with Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Nate Bargatze, Taylor Tomlinson, Ali Wong and the list goes on.
The standup comedy world is the perfect reintroduction to being in a crowd, post-COVID-19. It's calm, there's no bumping into randos trying to push to the front. There won't be any crazy fanboys...unless Bert Kreischer takes his shirt off.
It's also a great opportunity for Lubbock's local comedians to take the stage as openers or warm-up acts, like Lubbock's very own Chrissy Covington. Beyond comedy, The Book of Mormon, Rock of Ages, or Harry Potter and the Cursed Child would all be enjoyable to varying degrees of people.
The point is, Lubbock has long since been thought of as a place where nothing happens. If it's not a gigantic show that can fill up the United Supermarkets Arena or a smaller show that can fit at a place like Jake's Backroom, it just wasn't coming to Lubbock.
The Buddy Holly Hall has fixed that hole. Now, the sky's the limit on what the world of entertainment can fill that hole with.
