X-Wing Model Flies Through Stratosphere

In an attempt to get free tickets to the VIP premiere of The Force Awakens this December, two amateur astronomers launched a model of an X-Wing fighter into the stratosphere.

According to Space.com, Matt Kingsnorth and Phil St. Pier launched the model to a height of nearly 20 miles using a weather balloon.

Will the two end up being gratified with tickets? That remains to be seen, but we were certainly gratified with the beautiful view of an X-Wing in flight above Earth.
