Will You Be Traveling This Independence Day Weekend? [POLL]
Fireworks, parades, and travel. It's that time of year.

Many Americans are tired of being locked up and after the last year's pandemic summer, people are loading up the car or loading up the luggage and getting on an airplane and getting out of town.
According to the Washington Post, more than 47.7 million Americans are planning to travel this weekend during the Independence Day holiday. It is expected to be the busiest travel period the United States has seen since the pandemic started.
“What we’re seeing nationally will be the second-highest travel volume for the Fourth of July since we’ve been keeping records, which is more than two or three decades,” says John B. Townsend II, a spokesman for AAA Mid-Atlantic.
With a mass migration of leisure travelers set to take advantage of the long weekend in re-opened America, industry experts predict — or perhaps warn — that the July 4th holiday will look more like Thanksgiving.
With a busy travel weekend comes crowds and traffic so be prepared. If you are driving from Lubbock to Dallas, expect I-20 to be crowded and for police to be out in enforcing the speed limit.
