A Petersburg, Texas woman is putting West Texas on the map, making it onto a huge cooking show.

Courtney Kattner announced on Facebook she's so proud to be on Food Network's show Chopped this May, and we couldn't be more proud and excited for her.

I think we all know and love Chopped, but if you haven't heard of it, it's an extremely popular reality show on The Food Network where four chefs compete against each other to see who's the best. They face off to prepare the best three-course meals they can come up with in a limited amount of time. It consists of an appetizer, entree and dessert.

But wait, there's a catch.

For each round they have to use all the ingredients the show provides for them. They have no idea what those ingredients are going to be and they're normally strange or crazy things. After each course, a group of guest judges will chop one of the chefs who does not measure up to the test. They are all judged on taste, presentation and creativity.

If you make it to the end and are the last chef standing you take home not only the bragging rights but also $10,000. This year's host is Ted Allen.

You can watch Courtney Kattner's episode of Food Network's Chopped on May 24th, 2022 at 8 p.m. CT. If you miss the episode live, you can watch full episodes on Food Network's website.

Good luck, Courtney, we're all cheering for you!
