Wayland Baptist Defeats St. Gregory’s in the 10th

Senior outfielder Nic Shadle knocked in the game winning run with a single to left centerfield in the bottom of the tenth inning to give Wayland Baptist a 9-8 victory over St. Gregory's University on Friday afternoon at Wilder Field.

SGU scored four runs in the top of the ninth to tie the game at eight.  Aldo Mendez (2-1) got the win for the Pioneers after getting the final out in the top of the tenth.  Daniel Duarte (0-1) took the loss for the Cavaliers.

WBU evened its season record at 25-25 and is 11-15 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.  St. Greg's falls to 12-38 overall and 5-12 in league action.
