A water pipeline broke near the intersection of 19th Street and University on Monday, Nov. 4th, flooding the street.

The City of Lubbock is urging drivers to avoid the area so the Public Works Department can continue repairs throughout Tuesday, Nov. 5th.

They’ve shut down the eastbound lanes of 19th Street at University Avenue and the westbound lanes have been reduced to a single lane. It's unclear how long the road closures will remain in place.
