As the speculation continues concerning the future of the Big 12 Conference another university is closer to determining its future.  The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents will meet next Monday and the agenda for their meeting has been released.

Section 28 of the agenda deals with the 'Conference Alignment':

ACTION PROPOSED:
The Board of Regents will discuss potential legal ramifications of athletic conference
realignment options and/or consider new athletic conference membership and take any appropriate action. An executive session may be proposed pursuant to Section 307B.4 of the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act.

Oklahoma's regents could vote to apply to the PAC-12 for membership, vote to stay in the Big 12, do nothing or just very simply delegate authority and decision making power to OU-Norman President David Boren ala Texas A&M.

If Oklahoma votes to go to the PAC-12, it is expected Oklahoma State would soon follow suit.
