
TxDOT Traffic Stops Result in Marijuana and Cash Seizures
TxDOT seized 66 pounds of marijuana last Friday (Feb. 16) during a traffic stop in Carson County.
TxDOT reports that a DPS Trooper pulled over a Ford Focus on I-40 for a traffic violation. During the stop, the officer found vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in duffel bags inside the trunk.
The driver, 26-year-old Naomi Anderson, was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana, and booked into the Carson County Jail.

TxDOT also reported that last Sunday (Feb.18), during a different traffic stop, DPS seized more than $110,000 in cash and a small amount of marijuana in Carson County.
The driver of that incident, 49-year-old Ricky Smith, was arrested and charged with money laundering, and also booked into the Carson County Jail.
