As children, we all loved (and probably still love) big trucks -- fire trucks, big green tractors and so much more. A free event coming to Lubbock will let us all get back in touch with our inner child.

Touch-a-Truck is put on by the Lubbock Junior League and brings local kiddos face to face with big trucks, equipment and their operators. The one-day event brings out thousands of children and adults to see and touch with machinery, working vehicles, tractors, unusual equipment and so much more.

As in years past, this is still a free event to the public and this year’s event will be on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will also offer a horn-free hour from 9 to 10 a.m. for people that want to take their kiddos then and not worry about all the noise.

They haven't had this event since April 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that year they had more than 2,500 children and adults who came to see 26 pieces of equipment and trucks. It's a great time for all ages and a come-and-go event.
If you want to learn more about the Lubbock Junior League and this awesome free event for the community, check out their official website for more details. If you or your business own or have access to a vehicle you would like to display at the event, you can email them at: info@juniorleaguelubbock.com.
The group looks forward to seeing everyone out at the South Plains Mall parking lot, 6002 Slide Road in Lubbock, on April 23rd for all the fun, trucks and even food trucks to enjoy as well.
