Three Siblings in Family of Seven Pass Away in Less Than Two Months
The Aderholt family has been forced to deal with the death of 3 siblings in a time period lasting less than 2 months.
Debbie Roach Aderholt, Clint Aderholt and Darla Gumfory all passed away to either cancer or COVID-19.
KAMC News reports that Debbie passed away due to lung cancer on Tuesday, February 23rd. Clint passed away on December 30th, 2020 at the age of 53 due to cancer as well. On February 12th, Darla passed due to complications relating to COVID-19 at the age of 57.
One of the siblings, Bob Aderholt, said he would have never imagined losing so many family members in such a short time period. He went on to say:
Then within six weeks, all three of them passed, and like Cindy said, you get kind of numb, you don’t really know how to feel. Probably will hit me later. Right now I’m trying to stay strong for the family so I try not to get emotional, but it’s been hard.
The Aderholt family is originally from Roswell, but they moved to Lubbock many years ago.
Following the loss of so many family members, the Aderholt family has since set up a GoFundMe page to help with finances relating to Debra and Darla's funerals. The family said that since they buried Clinton so recently, they were struggling with these more recent deaths.
