As technology continues to develop, there are more and more ways you can integrate it into your day-to-day life. Many technological advancements start out as luxury items that only a few people have the resources to own, but they eventually become widely available for the everyday consumer. Things like smartphones and electric cars are great examples of this.

One of the most recent technological developments that I think might become a more universal tool is this new cargo-carrying following robot named gitamini.

This robot uses sensors to track your movement and follow you wherever you go. Gitamini can hold up to 20 pounds, so you can fill it up with plenty of stuff and have it follow you around town or just in your home if you need to be hands-free. The robot can travel up to 21 miles on one charge and also has a USB port so you can charge devices on the go. With just the touch of a button, you can park the bot and have it stay put, simply pressing the button again to get it back up and ready to follow you to your next destination.

Obviously, this might not be the most effective tool for some people, but for people that have disabilities or simply don’t like carrying around all their stuff, this could be a great option. It would especially be helpful for those that like to walk to their grocery store, but hate lugging all the food back home. The gitamini even has a lifting handle on it and weighs less than 30 pounds for easy lifting if needed.

Not only does the robot come in the compact gitamini style, but there is also the original gita that is larger and has twice the carrying capacity for up to 40 pounds. The only problem with this large model is that it’s much heavier at around 50 pounds and only has a battery life for around 12 miles worth of travel.
