The much-anticipated fine dining eatery The Nicolett is now open for takeout orders and will open their courtyard very soon, sometime mid-November, according to our friends at Lubbock In the Loop.

The new restaurant is in a historic building at 511 Broadway:

The Nicolett is a new fine dining destination for West Texas, from Chef Finn Walter. With a focus on High Plains cuisine, the elegant menu is rooted in showcasing ingredients that are natural to the region with techniques that reflect Walter’s experience in Paris, Austin, Napa Valley, and Santa Fe. Named after the first hotel in the area, The Nicolett is inspired by the history of the region, paying homage to West Texas culture and celebrating the revitalization of the area.

After skimming through The Nicolett's Facebook page, my mouth is watering. From prime rib to fresh pasta, each dish looks absolutely beautiful. Coupled with the ambience of the best of Downtown Lubbock, I can already tell some proposals will be made here, some graduations will be celebrated and some really classy folks will make it an enchanting first date.

Typically, restaurants of this caliber have a seasonally rotating menu, but you still have to check out this sculptural dessert. It's so pretty I'd feel guilty eating it, but that still won't stop me.

If you would like to be one of the first in the know on the opening date or what the next takeout menu will be, be sure to sign up for their email list.
