A second suspect has been arrested in the robbery case of two Metro PCS locations.

On Tuesday, Lubbock Police arrested 32-year-old Byron Whitfield for his involvement in the robberies. Now, 26-year-old Joseph Lee Jackson is in custody as well.

Investigators believe the two men have been working together to commit multiple robberies and often choose locations with few employees and light civilian traffic.

A Lubbock Police Department SWAT team was dispatched yesterday to search the home of Jackson, where they found evidence and stolen property, linking him to the crime spree.

Both Jackson and Whitfield were located and arrested with the help of the Texas Anti-Gang Center.

They say on Tuesday it was likely Jackson who robbed the two Metro PCS locations while Whitfield worked as the getaway driver. Both men face charges of burglary and other potential charges like armed robbery.
