The Day the Music Died Events Planned
On February 3rd the Buddy Holly Center has a number of events planned to remember the day the music died 58 years ago.
58 years ago on February 3, 1959, a plane crash took the lives of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, The Big Bopper – J.P. Richardson and pilot Roger Peterson. And since the 1970’s it has been known as the day the music died.
Here are some of the events planned:
Buddy Holly Gallery: Free Admission
10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
J.I. Allison House: Free Admission
10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
First Friday Art Trail: Free Admission
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
